Covenant Clinical is looking for a VP of Finance to build the financial operating system for the company and its portfolio ventures. This role will own financial strategy, capital planning, budgeting, reporting, and governance, while partnering closely with founders and operators to create disciplined, scalable business infrastructure from the earliest stages of company formation.

Core Responsibilities

  • Financial Strategy: Build the financial model, operating plan, and reporting cadence for Covenant Clinical and its portfolio companies.
  • Capital Planning: Support fundraising strategy, capital allocation, runway planning, scenario modeling, and investor-facing financial materials.
  • Portfolio Operations: Establish standardized budget, forecast, cash management, and performance reporting processes across incubated ventures.
  • Governance & Controls: Implement financial controls, approval workflows, compliance processes, and board-ready reporting practices.
  • Strategic Partnership: Partner with growth, product, scientific, clinical, and executive teams to evaluate commercial priorities and investment trade-offs.
  • Systems & Process: Select and implement lightweight finance systems, dashboards, and workflows that can scale as the company and portfolio mature.

What You Bring

  • Experience: 15+ years in finance, strategic planning, corporate development, or venture-backed operating environments, with senior leadership experience.
  • Financial Rigor: Strong command of financial modeling, budget ownership, forecasting, cash management, reporting, and investor communications.
  • Startup Orientation: Experience building finance processes in early-stage or high-growth companies where systems must be created from the ground up.
  • Strategic Judgment: Ability to translate business priorities into disciplined capital allocation, operating plans, and measurable financial outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Comfort working with scientific, clinical, product, growth, and commercial teams in ambiguous environments.
  • Domain Expertise Preferred: Experience in healthcare, life sciences, beauty, wellness, medical aesthetics, or consumer health businesses is preferred.
