Covenant Clinical is looking for a VP of Product Development to lead product formula development and product strategy across emerging healthcare, wellness, and beauty science platforms. This role will translate scientific concepts, clinical needs, and market opportunities into differentiated product architectures that are technically credible, commercially viable, and ready for professional and consumer adoption.

Core Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy: Define product concepts, portfolio architecture, claims direction, positioning logic, and development priorities across incubated ventures.
  • Formula Development: Lead product formula development from concept brief through lab development, testing, refinement, and commercialization readiness.
  • Scientific Translation: Partner with researchers, physicians, chemists, and operators to convert emerging science into products with credible mechanisms and market relevance.
  • Claims & Validation: Shape testing strategy, substantiation needs, tolerability standards, and clinical or consumer validation requirements.
  • Commercial Readiness: Collaborate with growth, brand, supply chain, and regulatory partners to ensure each product is differentiated, scalable, and launch-ready.
  • External Partnerships: Manage relationships with labs, contract manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, clinical partners, and product development consultants.

What You Bring

  • Experience: 15+ years in product development, formulation, R&D, innovation, or product strategy, with senior leadership experience.
  • Formula Expertise: Deep understanding of skincare, beauty, wellness, consumer health, or physician-dispensed product formulation and development workflows.
  • Strategic Product Judgment: Ability to evaluate white space, consumer need, clinical credibility, ingredient strategy, claims potential, and commercial feasibility.
  • Execution Discipline: Experience moving products from concept through formulation, testing, packaging, manufacturing, and launch readiness.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong ability to work across science, clinical, brand, regulatory, operations, and growth teams.
  • Domain Expertise Preferred: Background in physician-dispensed skincare, medical aesthetics, dermatology, professional beauty, or consumer health is preferred.
